About the Idaho Enhanced Concealed Carry Instructor Training

Level 1 Firearms Instructor Hell Week™ Training Event

The Idaho Enhanced Concealed Carry Instructor Training is an intense training opportunity for aspiring Idaho Concealed Enhanced Carry Instructors to maximize their certifications in less time.

Expert lectures from local Idaho guest speakers, visual presentations, and proven training techniques are taught to the instructors. Practical pistol & personal defense concepts and challenging shooting drills go into this rewarding training experience.

By the end of the Instructor Training, instructor candidates gain valuable knowledge and skills to teach concealed carry concepts. Personal self-awareness training includes topics for home and business defense strategies.

Classroom Training

Classroom training is essential to teaching students Modern Gun Training Techniques. The class demands instructor candidates know and understand new techniques to train their students properly.

When leveraging Modern Gun Training Techniques, students learn more in less time than with traditional training methods. Having students shoot hundreds of rounds of ammunition at the range accomplishes nothing. Taking students to the range is a waste of time when you cannot improve the students shooting. Hoping students will shoot better, without a formal training regiment, is a waste of everyone’s time and energy. Especially the students.

Our instructor training regiment encourages pistol instructors to “train” with their students. Leveraging a “training approach” each time they go to the range. This instills in students they don’t go to the range to “practice”; they go to “train.”

Get More Out of your CCW Instructor Education

Would it surprise you to learn most firearms instructors have no idea how to load, cock, decock, and unload a single-action revolver? Would you be surprised pistol instructors from other training schools told us they’ve never seen one except for cowboy movies?

This level of poor pistol instructor training has just got to stop! Imagine having to Google a single-action revolver – that’s insane. And that’s why Level 1 Firearms Training LLC created our modern gun training methodology.

We’ll focus on getting you intimately familiar with all pistol models before you even begin to teach new students. By the end of the training, you will only need to look at a gun and identify it as a single-action, double-action, or double-action-only revolver.

The Hell Week™ Pistol Instructor Training Difference

Hell Week™ Pistol Instructor Training experience.

The Idaho Enhanced Concealed Carry Instructor class is an intense training opportunity to earn your certifications in 1 week.

The Idaho Enhanced Concealed Carry Instructor Course is a great opportunity for aspiring and experienced instructors to learn advanced time-proven training methods, transfer shooting concepts and skills to students, and improve concealed carry concepts. Applying modern gun training methodologies, training tools, Idaho Law, and practical teaching exercises, instructors and students see a vast improvement in their shooting skills.

There are many “become an instructor” scams available. These training programs teach instructors to teach the basics of pistol shooting. Classes are taught by poorly trained individuals (often called “Counselors”) who possess little knowledge about concealed carry concepts. Students receive sub-par training focused only on how to shoot their guns without concern for concealed carry concepts.

The course regimen is focused on the education of the instructor candidate. This includes extensive training designed to exceed state requirements. As a result, instructors become subject matter experts (SMEs) in concealed carry concepts within their states and when traveling.

Our extensive training is apparent to those who know the Idaho Level 1 Firearms Training Certification.

Breakout and Teamwork Sessions

Breakout and Teamwork Sessions

Break-out and teamwork sessions encourage instructors to work as a team. Instructors use breakout sessions to enhance each other’s knowledge as they grow to develop better ways to teach students.

Instructors learn small group sessions are more effective than trying to teach a massive amount of students in a large group environment. Team presentations are assigned to deepen the instructor’s knowledge and understanding while developing public speaking skills.

Firearms and Idaho Law

Firearms and The Law - Idaho Legal Lecture

Each Hell Week™ event is custom-tailored to cover the many complex laws. Idaho Enhanced Concealed Carry instructors must be fluent and knowledgeable about firearms and the law in Idaho and the states they are instructing. Federal, Idaho state, and Idaho local laws are highlighted and discussed to provide an in-depth understanding of how they may affect your students. Essential topics are highlighted as what you should know when teaching a concealed carry class.

Idaho instructors are encouraged to seek legal advice on the law. Idaho Instructors cannot comment on nor interpret laws, period. We discourage this practice at all costs.

Idaho Concealed Carry Instructors cannot interpret the law
unless they are licensed attorneys.

Range Time in Idaho

Idaho Pistol Instructor Training Qualifications

Extensive range time is scheduled for each Idaho Enhanced Concealed Carry Hell Week™ event.

Idaho instructors must demonstrate mastery of their craft from beginner to advanced. Range training is at the heart of the instructor certification program. Idaho instructors demonstrate, teach, and show the drills they expect their students to perform efficiently. Observation, positive feedback, and knowing what to look for when qualifying students are essential during the training qualification process.

The Idaho instructor’s primary goal is to ensure students are safe, responsible, and proficient shooters.

Idaho Enhanced Concealed Carry Instructors Take a Break

We know and understand that training can take a toll on our instructor candidates. Sometimes you have to stop and take a breather. Some of our most memorable moments are when instructors relax, take a break, and add some fun to the training event.

States Have Different Conceal Carry Instructor Requirements

The CCW-certified instructor’s responsibility is to train students on how to conceal and carry a firearm in public. To become a conceal carry instructor, most states require you to provide a lesson plan. The training you receive during Hell Week™ provides the necessary skills to create an acceptable lesson plan.

Note: Some states have additional instructor training requirements. This may include attending a course taught by the state to be certified as a firearms instructor. Level 1 Firearms Training LLC makes every effort to be aware of these requirements and actively reaches out to our instructors about these changes.

Idaho Enhanced Concealed Carry Reciprocity versus Nevada Concealed Carry Firearm Permits – Nevada CCW

Idaho Reciprocity Map

Pictured to the left is the Idaho Enhanced Concealed Carry reciprocity Map.

When compared to another state with a similar license, Idaho beats them all hands down.

Note in the example below, Nevada is not honored in Washington State, Minnesota, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, or Maine. There’s really very little need to have any other concealed carry license.

Oh, by the way, Oregon requires a non-resident license which is only issued to California, Idaho, Nevada, and Washington State residents – Utah licenses are not honored.

Nevada Reciprocity Map

Level 1 Pistol Instructor Hell Week™ events offer the opportunity to work together with fellow instructors to design a custom lesson plan for your state. For example, the Nevada Concealed Carry Firearms Permit – aka Nevada CCW permit lesson plan is one of the most complicated and demanding conceal carry lesson plans in existence.

The Nevada Sheriffs Association used to be the governing overseer for the Nevada Pistol Instructor for attaining their credentials as a Nevada Conceal Carry Pistol Instructor, however, this has changed. The responsibility has now been left to the county sheriff in each jurisdiction and to the city of Las Vegas police department to determine their own requirements. To apply for authorization to be a Conceal Carry Instructor, pistol instructors must now apply to their local sheriff, many of which will ask for a copy of your proposed lesson plan for review.

The Nevada law enforcement agencies responsible for the review of the lesson plans will make a determination as to their status. It is important to attend the entire Hell Week™ program to gain the necessary experience to write and submit a lesson plan to the state. Training received by Level 1 Firearms during Hell Week™ prepares you for the process.

Additional Information

Indoor Simulations allow instructors and students improve their shooting skills under a variety of conditions not available anywhere else.

Knowing how to instruct students is more important than being a top-gun marksman. Training is not for everyone. Good shooters oftentimes have trouble communicating changes a student must take to shoot more accurately.

Our training process includes observation for shooting skills, and the ability to equate a known concept to unknown concepts. Instructors must demonstrate they can build concepts from simple to complex during their training process.

The final test is knowing the instructor has had a positive influence on the student. This is accomplished by comparing the student’s abilities from start to finish as well as a student assessment of how well they feel the instructor has taught.
