The Idaho AR-15 Defensive Rifle Class taught you everything you need to know to use your AR-15 rifle. A finely tuned AR-15 Rifle with the proper accessories makes a good choice when considering self-defense options. The AR-15 rifle can protect your property, its surroundings, your home, and especially your family.

Using Modern Gun Techniques and incorporating old-style teaching methods, the Idaho AR-15 Defensive Rifle Class improves your confidence and accuracy when multiple training methods are taught together.

Getting on Target

Idaho AR-15 Defensive Rifle Class discusses the right accessories to have on your rifle and the correct ammunition for the use of the rifle. The class focuses on Idaho Laws, close distance, in-home shooting proximities to the short-distance shooting of dangerous wildlife on your property.

Students attending this class should already have the necessary equipment needed to attend. Basic essential concepts from the Idaho AR-15 Beginner Class 101 and the Idaho AR-15 Essential Class 102 – “Hitting the Target” have been prepared for this class.

Essential equipment like a precision AR-15 rifle scope capable of MOA accuracy with a bipod or an AR-15 red dot capable of adjustments is necessary. The AR-15 rifle must be bolt-action, semi-automatic, or have a gas-driven system. The rifle caliber must be between 5.56 to the Winchester .300 Magnum. Students should remember that this class is focused on using the AR-15 rifle primarily for property and home defense. An overpowered AR-15 rifle is considered excessive for the needs of this class.

This class requires that you are in good physical condition to walk and carry your equipment when necessary. You must be able to get up and down onto the ground safely without assistance.

What do all these AR-15 Rifle Terms Mean?

 Idaho AR-15 Defensive Rifle Class

AR-15s are well-made rifles designed to withstand the most challenging of conditions. Many refer to the AR-15 rifle as a good, all-around workhorse. AR-15 rifles continue to operate under some of the most challenging conditions. The vast availability of add-on products intended to improve your shooting can surprisingly hinder your ability to get on target. This class will address those concerns and more to ensure you are shooting your best.

Most of the topics described in class are those you learned about in the Idaho AR-15 Essential Classes 102 and shouldn’t be new to you. We are essentially honing in even deeper into your equipment for students to learn how to take better advantage of using those tools.

Terms like rifle scopes, red-dots, turrets, bipod, adjusting for wind, correct ammunition usage, charging handles, and more should sound very familiar to students as they were introduced during the Idaho AR-15 Essentials Class 102. If you are unfamiliar with and uncomfortable with these terms, we suggest you attend or retake the Idaho AR-15 Essentials Classes 102.

The Idaho AR-15 Defensive Rifle Class is a Two Day Course

Why is this a 2-day class? Our Idaho AR-15 Defensive Rifle Class is the best training you will receive in Idaho, there are no shortcuts to learning how to own and use an AR-15 rifle responsibly and properly. This course introduces many new intermediate concepts with practical drills and timed drills to ensure learning has taken place. AR-15 intermediate concepts will not be rushed during the training process.

We train using Modern Gun Training Techniques, ensuring you will know everything you need to know by the end of class. We want you to be taught entirely when handling your Ar-15 rifle.

Indoor ranges in Idaho do not accommodate outside instructors, which makes no sense – we are bringing them, customers! We have chosen to utilize one of the several outdoor ranges in the Treasure Valley that we like bring customers to their range. Indoor ranges are loud, really loud. It is tough to hear the instructor while training, and they are highly restrictive with what we can teach.

Outdoor ranges provide freedom of teaching without the loud distraction you experience when training in an indoor range. We can take our time training defensive tactics – there’s no rush – you’re not paying a lot of money per hour, students can hear us, there are little to no distractions, and there’s no need to rush you through the skill-building portion of the class. You learn in a safe, comfortable, and reasonably quiet environment.

Outdoor ranges are extremely hot or cold in the late afternoons, distracting new students from concentrating. By shooting early the following day, students are fresh and ready to train for their new shooting skills.

This class requires that you are in good physical condition to walk and carry all of your equipment if necessary. You must also be able to get up and down from the ground safely without assistance.
